The Construction Planning And Design Of Digital Campus Network

With the rapid development of network technology, the application in computernetwork is becoming widespread and richer, especially in the colleges. The constructionof digital campus has become the primary task of the digital construction of universityinformation and the symbol of modernization of university. It has become an importantresearch subject we are facing with on how to upgrade planning model of the digitalcampus, to play the function of existing equipments, to improve the rate andeffectiveness of using the network, to construct the network technology of the computersystem with high performance, to meet the needs and goals of digital campus, on thebase of the existing network.Digital campus system is a very large complex system。It is a system, which isbased on the construction of computer network hardware platform, to accomplish aseries of applications such as modern teaching, integrated information management andoffice automation applications. It can provide a variety of application services, it canalso transmit and share various information promptly and accurately.In this article, the author took the chance of “The Digital InformationConstruction Year of Shandong College of Tourism&Hospitality” did a multi-analysison the background, current situation, needs and feasibility of the digital informationcampus construction of the collage, designed the overall program of the digital campusnetwork, described the design proposal of basic network platform, the data sharingcenter, the unified identity authentication platform, the synthetic information portal, theprofession subsystem, the new profession subsystems and the integration of existedapplication system. The author accomplished a detailed design on data center servers,storage systems, data backup systems, structure of hardware support platform and thesystem support software. In the design of data sharing center, the author used webservices technology and semantic information integration technology to solve the "isletsof information" within the collage, and established a collage unified data sharing center.Specific designs of information security systems, building management systems,operation and maintenance management systems were also given. This article definedthe construction proposal of the digital campus of the collage.
