Wireless sensor network is a novel wireless network technology, it has thecharacteristics of no infrastructure and self-organizing. Recently, with the development ofmicroelectronics technology, sensor technology and communication technology, WSNdevelops rapidly.Most research on WSN see the extend of lifetime as the uiltimate goal.In practice, theenergy supplement of sensor nodes is so hard that how to improve the efficiency hasbecame a major issue. Energy savings of nodes maybe an effective method, and thebalance of energy consumption of network can also work well. This paper mainly talksabout topology control of wireless sensor network and analyzes the topology controlmechanism, and then proposes a kind of multi-hops energy-balance topology controlalgorithm based on neighbor graph.Firstly, based on in-depth research in background and basic principles of topologycontrol of wireless network, we study the classification of topology control algorithmcarefully. And then we analyze topology control algorithm based on neighbor graph andthe advantages and disadvantages of control of power on topology control via simulation.Then, in this dissertation we analyze the merits and drawbacks of neighbor graphalgorithm and improve and optimize the neighbor graph topology control mechanism. Asthe model of multi-hop links, we design a weight factor based on energy, distance andcommunication environment.Finally, we propose the ideas of algorithm, construct the model of network and thenwe describe the implementation steps of the new algorithm. Lastly, we finish thesimulation of the algorithm and performance evaluation by using the NS-2simulation tooland MATLAB graphics data processing software.Simulation results show that our algorithm can optimize the link selection of thenetwork, and it can balance the energy consumption of the entire network withoutincreasing energy consumption of node. Because of these advantages, our algorithm achieves the purpose of extending life cycle of the network.
