Research On Key Technologies Of Virtual Human's Walking Engine

Around the relative technical problems of virtual human's walking engine, on the basis of referring to a large number of international research works, using Kinematics methods, PIK algorithm and methods such as Bezier curves, the establishment of the walking engine and the lifelike nature of the movements generated by the walking engine have been researched deeply. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Firstly, the background and the generation technologies of the walking engine have been summarized, and the existing problems of the walking engine have been analyzed too. In this paper, we also illuminated the necessary of creating a walking engine, and the technology basis of the walking engine has been studied deeply for preparing for the later work.(2) Secondly, the research of the generation of normal walking motion has been carried out, and the normal walking engine of the virtual human has been built too. When exploiting a virtual human simulation application system, generating the normal walking of the virtual human is the primary task. On the basis of studying the generation methods of walking engine, using inverse kinematics methods, and with the introduction of angular velocity parameter and Bezier curves, a walking engine driven by the "height" and "speed" parameters was built and the walking engine built has realized the curve walking of the virtual human also.(3) Then, the study of the generating the upper body movements of the walking engine has been carried out. Firstly, the emotion model of generating the subconscious behavior has been built, and to determine the way to generate the subconscious behavior, the parameters were set too. Secondly, the subconscious behavior unit has been created to select the corresponding subconscious behavior according to the order of the emotion model. At the same time, using the gesture sample library, based on specific task constraints, we generate the initial posture for PIK algorithm. Finally, referring the initial posture, using the PIK algorithm, iteration solving has been carried out for all constrains in priority order, so , the key frames have been generated and the generation of the subconscious behavior has been generated too, which enhanced the lifelike nature of the virtual human's walking largely.(4) At last, the exploitation of the system of walking engine of virtual human has been carried out, which has examined the study of this paper. experimental results show that the body geometric model established is realistic, and Kinematics methods, PIK algorithm and other methods such as Bezier curves method were valid. The movement generated by the walking engine is realistic, and with the insertion of the subconscious behavior, it enhances the realism of virtual human walking greatly.
