The research on virtual human movement is a crossover application discipline and has the excellence application background which involved in the computer graphics, kinematics and dynamics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and so on.In this paper virtual human walking and running control are researched based on the theories of computer graphics and computer animation. Firstly, by using stick model combined with inverse kinematics and dynamics constraints the. simulation of virtual human walking is implemented and better reality is obtained; simultaneously human running which has a better real time is also simulated through the inverse kinematics and key frame technology. Secondly, on second thoughts consider the external force influence which is produced through the human walking, establish the foot-ground contact model and utilize the mechanics principle to simulate human walking. The simulation results confirm the feasibility of simulating method in this paper. Furthermore make use of the movement fusion method to realize the switch between walking and running.At the end of this paper several improvements which need to be carried on in the next work are proposed.
