In the environment of Service oriented architecture (SOA), concepts of service computing, utility computing and cloud computing emerged, and cloud computing has become a dazzling concept. The main feature of cloud computing is to provide user kinds of resources by means of service on demand and user use it through pay as you go. Current cloud computing stack including three layers i.e. software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS). Meanwhile IaaS is foundation of cloud computing. It can be dynamic provided, configured, reconfigured and released. In order to fulfill applications'requirement to infrastructure resources, so how to adaptive scale delivered IaaS service according to users requirement is a key point in cloud computing research. Service level cloud consumer(CS) and a media to maintain their relationship. By importing SLA, it both can maintain relation between CP and CS and play the role of measuring and maintaining service quality and levels.Main work of this thesis is as follows:Firstly this thesis analysis cloud architecture, resource allocation in cloud environment, adaptive technology used in cloud and point out the challenge of cloud computing in adaptive scale, make comparison between cloud computing and grid computing in 360 degrees, and explain cloud service architecture and cloud system examples in details.Secondly, it analysis the state-of-art of current cloud service in adaptive scale, elaborate on service level agreement, its usage and advantages in service oriented computing and cloud computing. Aim at the challenge of cloud computing in adaptive scale, in combination with SLA, by importing adaptive technology into cloud service provision Scenarios and advocating cloud service auto scale indexes, and based on MAPE-K model, we design our own service adaptive scale model and introduce service status repository and policy repository.Thirdly by analyzing service status information from service status repository, and combining degree of service violation index and degree of utility index with policy repository as adaptive reason, to achieve service adaptive scale; finally, we provide a SLA-based adaptive cloud service provision framework and adaptive algorithm.Finally, base on previous achievement, design and implement the prototype of SLA-based cloud service provision framework, and give its design plan in detail. By testing and evaluation, its adaptive ability and feasibility has been validated and proved.
