The beam of phased array radar is flexible. It can complete the tasks of searching and tracking at the same time, and also can track and guidance multiple targets. Face to phased array radar which has the features of high flexibility, large amount of data and complex tasks, one of important research topics is how to develop a reasonable and effective resource management method to distribute the limited time and energy resources of phased array radar. There are three main research directions of Phased array radar resource management. They are search resource management, tracking resource management and task scheduling management. In this paper research is mainly focused on tracking resource management and task scheduling management. Main content contains the following three aspects:In the track management part, this paper presents a sampling interval adaptive tracking algorithm which is based on UKF_IMM. The simulation results show that compared to traditional fixed sampling interval algorithm which is based on EKF_IMM, this algorithm can improve the tracking accuracy effectively. In the task scheduling part, a quadratic programming model who can guarantee the existence of the optimal solution is proposed. This model uses the sum of squares of the weighted time offset as the scheduling costs criteria, and then presents an analytical solution algorithm of the optimal solution. A series of simulations base on a real phased array radar for air defense frigates show that the proposed algorithm can guarantee the scheduling success rate and reduce the deadline miss rate effectively. Finally, this paper describes digital simulation methods of phased array radar, and designs digital simulation software with the existing research results of resource management and task scheduling to verify the validity of the relevant algorithms.
