The World Climate Conference in Copenhagen hold in 2009 is called by mediums as "the most important Conference since World War II ".It made the concern on climate change elevated to an unprecedented level. Affected by such factors as politics, economy and culture, Chinese and western medium behave differently toward the same climate news. The United States and China, the largest developed country and the largest developing, is bound to have different reports on Copenhagen climate for their different news frames.This paper focuses on case study, and takes reports of People's Daily and New York Times about Copenhagen Climate Conference as the example. In this paper, I applied the Frame Theory, and did some quantitative research and qualitative research. This paper is aiming to find out differences and similarities between Chinese and western reports on climate changes.Firstly, both of People's Daily and New York Times trend to define the Copenhagen Climate Conference as a political topic; Secondly, Their reports can be influenced by news value and political standpoint and so on. And these influences can be reflected in their news frame. Last but not the least, both of People's Daily and New York Times construct the climate changing crisis, this can enhance a common awareness about environment crisis. However, People's Daily and New York Times also construct differences between tow countries such as politics,society and culture which can disturb the environmental awareness.
