The Design And Implementation Of A Publication Management System Based On SSH Framework

In demand of business development, the company will sell publications (e-book, magazine etc.) on-line. All publications should be reviewed by different levels and converted to EPUB format, which will be sold after encrypted. Various files will generate in the process. In order to ensure the quality, it's essential to develop a publication management system.This paper implemented a publication management system to manage publications'information and control publication's process flow (upload– acceptance– process– inspection– encrypt - release). It includes five forward process flows and nine reverse process flows. Meanwhile, thirteen roles are involved. So the focus and difficulty is rights separation and work flow control. Based on object-oriented system design theory, the design of this system use some sophisticated analysis tools, such as Rational Rose.The architecture is divided in four tiers: User Show Layer, Business Logic Layer, Controller Layer and Data Access Layer. As a mainstream development framework, SSH ( Struts + Spring +Hibernate) integration framework reduce the coupling among different tiers and guarantee the system has good flexibility and reusability. Programmers use Eclipse tool and Oracle 9i DBMS to complete the coding. With the guidance of CMM, WBS was updated regularly to tracking the project's progress. The whole team use SVN version control tool to share all data and documents.This system implements the uniform management of publications to assure the data integrity and improve the quality of publications. This system not only reduces workload, but also accelerates the publications'process.
