| UWB communication technology employs GHz level narrow pulse to transmit data.Comparing with tradition wireless communication technology,UWB technology has the advantage of low power consuming,high band width,low complexity,high security,high ability for anti-diturbance.Therefor,UWB communication technology has expanded from initial military field to civil and commercial field rapidly,especially radar system,high precision position system,intelligent traffic system and so on.The ECMA-368 protocol is a UWB standardization protocol created by the ECMA.It prescribes the technology detail of the PHY player based on MB-OFDM and the MAC player based on distributed structure. The MAC protocol is studied mainly in this paper, especially the distributed channel access mechanism based on reservation and the prioritized channel access mechanism based on contention.At first , the paper researches the mac time management,beacon mechanism,data transmission mechanism and other basic procotol provision defined in the ECMA-368 procotol.Then,the paper researches the work principle of the DRP and PCA mechanism respectively and puts forward the management means based on jam level and data priority when the DRP reservation has collision.Besides,this paper emulates the PCA and DRP using OPNET software, puts forward the FPGA realization project of PCA and DRP, and then emulates them using ModelSim software. The emulator result indicates that the project can implement the PCA and DRP function defined in the ECMA-368 procotol.Finally,the paper introduces the shortage of the ECMA-368 procotol and the next work aim,and indicates the other key mechanism if we want to implement the total MAC procotal of the ECMA-368. |
