With wireless communication technologies development, more and more products have been introduced with high-speed and great communication distance. However, in many practical situations, such as industrial control, wireless monitoring, home control, transportation and medical monitoring medium, it is not strict in the communication rate and distance .The cost, power consumption, reliability are more stringent Harsh requirements. So, the desire becomes more and more intense to get low-speed, short-range wireless communication technology and products, and ZigBee technology is made.Wireless sensor network is a multi-hop ad hoc network composed of a large number of tiny sensor nodes through wireless communication. By this network, people can learn and deal with information from network coverage zone.Due to the practical requirements for fire detection, it is proposed to apply ZigBee technology in fire detection system, using the multi-sensor integrated approach to sampling and determine. The system consists of sensor nodes, routing nodes, gateway node and PC. There are three kinds of sensors, include temperature sensor, smoke sensor and light sensor, sampling the amount of fire. Then the sensor node will decide whether the fire happen after processing the data through some algorithm. Routing node is responsible for relaying information when the distance between the gateway node and sensor node is too long. Gateway node completes the formation receiving and maintenance of the network and process information received. Finally, gateway node transfers them to the monitoring system on PC. The monitoring system is responsible for processing the received information, indicating the physical address of the node subjected to the threat of fire, displaying the amount of the current fire, and querying current remaining capacity of the node and so on. In summary, the fire detection system based on the ZigBee wireless is to complete communication between the host and network real-time updates, and monitor whether the fire happens in the network coverage area.After experiments, the results show that the system can achieve the site acquisition and transmission of fire amount, and the monitoring system can successfully send commands, and users can get the amount of fire from the sensor node in the network coverage area if they want.
