Because of the increasing complexity and uncertainty of the fire detection signal and the drawback of traditional fire detection alarm system, the phenomena of wrong alarm and miss alarm are very popular and attract more and more attention. Intelligent and Wireless Fire alarm system attracts the most attention in the field of fire detection and alarm both at home and abroad.In the paper, the major contents are as follows:(1) This paper analyzed the wireless sensor networks and its application at home and abroad, selected ZigBee wireless sensor networks suitable for fire alarming system, researched the character, network structure, hardware platform, TI company's protocol stack and the explore method of ZigBee wireless sensor networks.(2) Further researches are carried out into the application of information fusion, artificial neural network and fuzzy-logic technology. A fire information fusion system based on neural network and fuzzy-logic was built.(3) An intelligent fire alarming system based on ZigBee was designed. According to the complex and unconstructive objects of fire detection, using parameters of smoke sensor and temperature sensor and co sensor, with the idea of information Fusion being applied to the system and the network parameters being exercised by forward BP network, the system determines whether fire or not by fuzzy logic. Here apply ZigBee to fire alarming system; use the ZigBee nodes designed by MSP430+CC2420 project and Z-stack of TI Corporation. Combined with the special requirement of ZigBee networks nodes'limited energy, using corresponding information fusion technique, distributing information fusion layers appropriately between the inspecting host computer and detecting nodes, these enhance the network's life besides improving the reliability of system's alarming.
