| Now Infrared remote control has become a very widely used technology of short-range wireless communication with the vigorous development of infrared technology. It has been widely used in communications equipment, CE devices and so on. There are many various CE home appliances being controlled and managed with remote control unit based on IR signal in our home environments, such as TV, air conditioning, DVD player, ect.But with the increase of the CE devices, the number of the remote control also increase. It caused that when we want to control a CE device, it is so hard to find the match controller. So, we want to design a universal remote control unit which is an intergrated device for controlling these various devices with a signal one. This article is based on this idea to do research.In this paper, it proposed a new control system scheme of CE devices based on ZigBee and IR.We can construct a network by ZigBee, in this net, the controller as a ZigBee coordinator and ED devices as ZigBee terminal nodes.First, it introduce the background, features and applications of ZigBee. Then describe the ZigBee device types and network structures in detail. In-depth study the layers of the ZigBee protocol. Finally, expound the focus of this article that the hardware and software of the control system and testing.It uses TI's CC2430 to design the circuit of the nodes. The CC2430 combines the excellent performance of the leading CC2420 RF transceiver with an industry-standard enhanced 8051 MCU. In software design, first, we research the overall framework and the function of the layers of ZigBee protocol stack, then, we analyzed the protocol stack of the coordinator, router, terminal nodes.Finally, we completed programming and debugging of the initializing ZigBee chip CC2430,Node to node communication and IR control signal transmission.At the end of this paper, it will give the summary for this paper, and points out the direction for future research. |
