Nowadays the agricultural production in our country still adopts traditional mode, which is not only a waste of manpower and resources, but also a great threat to the sustainable development of agriculture. With the spread of high-tech technology such as the Internet of things, intelligent agriculture will be the future trend of modern agriculture. Applying various technologies such as industrial control, wireless communication and the Internet of things to intelligent agriculture could not only change the mode of agricultural management but also improve the efficiency of agricultural production. As a new short-range, low-rate, low-cost and low-power wireless network technology, ZigBee can provide users with wireless data transmission conveniently, which gives it a broad application in the field of Internet of things.The latest research progress of wireless sensor and communication technology used in agriculture from home and abroad is summarize in this article. A rea-time collect and remote control system of intelligent agriculture based on ZigBee is designed according to the project of agricultural informatization in Zhejiang Province. ZigBee technology is reviewed primarily then the overall design of the system based on the application requirement of greenhouse is given. In accordance with the need in greenhouse, the ZigBee collector, controller, border gateway and three kinds of sensors are designed based on the CC2530 chip. All of them form the rea-time collect and remote control system of intelligent agriculture in practical application. The electrochemical corrosion to soil moisture sensor is disccused then related solution is put foward. The collectors gather the environment parameters of greenhouse. The controllers are responsible for turning on or off the equipments in greenhouse so as to adjust the growth parameters for crops. The border gateway integrates the data of collectors and controllers then communicates with Internet server. With the help of China telecom intelligent agriculture information platform, the system achieves real-time monitoring and remote control in greenhouse. The user could observe and adjust related parameters via computer or phone instead of walking into the spot, which accomplishes remote monitoring.Finally, the article also summarizes the done work while pointing out the next phase of research direction according to the trait of domestic agriculture production, the technology of industry control and the development of modern communication. (1) Optimize Z-Stack so as to make the communication in wireless sensor network more stable. (2)Achieve automatic control of system and remote upgrade of software. (3)To accommodate the development of modern communication technology, IPv6 and 4G will be put into use.
