Needy College Students Web Information Management System

As the rapid developing process of information technology (IT) application in colleges, office network is penetrating into all the aspects of school administration. However, tracking and management of information about poor students who are a special group has always been stuck on the manual operation. Is it possible to change the traditional working way? Or can we introduce IT into the management of information on poor students by making full use of digital campus to establish a web-based information management system of poor students?Considering the above problems and the demand of the poor students management, we exploited database and ASP.NET technology to establish a information management system of poor students in college on the basis of web after a deep understanding of themanagement process.1. It describes the source of the project and the basic knowledge on the development and application of this system2. Needs analysis as well as use case diagram and data flow diagram design were carried out on the basis of full understanding of the business process3. Preliminary design and detailed system design were undertaken when given clear requirements.4. Management system of poor students based on ASP.NET was designed using Visual Stdio.5. The whole system was tested to make sure its safety and reliability.6. The entire project was managed by the thoughts of software engineering,This system employed the popular network and database technology for creative development with actual demand. Windows2003 and IIS6.0 (Internet Information Service 6.0) was adopted as the sever, and SQL Server 2000 was utilized for data management. This system which is considered as a composition of digital campus greatly facilitates the relevant personnel files on the management of poor students and improves work efficiency.
