Fire is one of the major damage for forest. Millions of dollar cost by forest fire worldwide every year. Today, one of the major works the government needs faced is reducing the damages caused by forest fire.Suddenly happen and severe damage is two major characters for forest fire, thereby forepart detection and forepart eliminate are significant things for forest protection, life saving, and economic benefit. This paper developed a method for forest fire alarm system called Wireless Forest Fire Alarm Based on Shortwave Technology. Monitor fire circumstances by infrared imaging tool unit; DSP manage all monitor information, and use wireless shortwave transfer potential forest fire information; Monitor center analysis the potential fire information and make effectual decision and solution.The whole system self contains forest fire information (infrared video) collection, information management, information transfer. By combining with GIS geography information system, the frontage monitor units using infrared video collect data (environment temperature), longitude, latitude, and send to DSP after primary manage by it self. DSP modulate and send out by shortwave broadcasting station. When the environment temperature achieves to threshold value (the value set on infrared video), the infrared video was promote to collect information and send to manage unit, and then transfer information to monitor center that will make the decision and solution.Frontage monitor unit and backside monitor center are two major parts for the whole system. Frontage monitor unit using day and night infrared imaging tool. It has higher a penetrate fog ability, can work with big temperature range change, can not affect by weather condition, and working all-weather. It use FPGA pretreatment all information collected; the pretreated information send to TMS320C6416 retreat, and the shortwave broadcasting station will send the useful information out by wireless. Each frontage monitor unit in the center of the area, and in charge of 3 kilometers circumference area (the infrared unit monitor area can achieve 3.5 kilometers circumference area). The backside monitor center is 3 to 5 kilometers away the forest, use antenna and broadcasting station receive all information; then DA / DA transform, use DSP demodulation, synchronization treatment, send to computer by RS232. The monitor people can compare the new information with old store information, analysis and make comments. If it contain potentials fire alarm, the manage department can using all necessary equipment annihilate the fire on time and prevent huge economical loss from fire.This paper is the first to use shortwave winless communication alarm of the forest fire. The significance thing is monitor the forest fire and annihilate the fire on time.
