Web source quality is the key to the success of the web-based applications. High web source quality plays an important part in the fields of society, economy and culture decisions. Web source quality is affected by multi-factors, so that the web source quality is open, autonomous and dynamic. The characteristics cause inconsistencies and uncertainties in the evaluations of web source quality, and the quantification of web source quality is difficult. The quantifications of web source quality under fuzzy environment are researched to solve the former problems, and a fuzzy assessment system of web source quality is implemented in this thesis. The basic fuzzy theory including the fuzzy set, the fuzzy number and the fuzzy operations is introduced firstly in the thesis. Multiple criteria decision making in classical decision theory is analyzed, and based on the analysis the conception of fuzzy logic is introduced into the multiple criteria decision making methods according to the characteristics of web source quality. The novel multiple criteria decision making method based on the fuzzy theory is presented and the FTOPSIS and FAHP are analyzed and discussed in detail. Both algorithms can solve the inconsistencies and uncertainties problems of the assessment of web source quality. The research of the assessment of web source quality in this thesis is based on the WebQM model, and SEM model certified technology is employed to confirm the applicability and the availability of the quantification. The analysis of WebQM is run with AMOS model analyses software, and the report of model fitting degree is given in the end of the thesis.Modifications are made to the FTOPSIS algorithm to solve the possible problems of the FTOPSIS algorithm. The FDEA based on the fuzzy theory is employed to overcome the shortcomings of the FTOPSIS and the FAHP, such as high subjectivity. The FDEA algorithm introduces the fuzzy logic into classical DEA methods, and the algorithm take the weight of the input and output as variables to evaluate the web source quality, so that it can avoid the effect of subjectivity to the result. The fuzzy assessment system of web source quality implemented in this thesis integrates the FTOPSIS, FAHP and FDEA algorithms for user choices.
