With the continuous development of science and technology, the area of automobiles configuration design has entered the era of 3D modeling. Because of the advantage of high efficiency and low cost, reverse engineering has been applied widely in manufacturing industries such as automobiles manufactory.Three key technologies are investigated in this paper:laser radar data acquisition technology, data processing technology and surface reconstruction technology. Firstly, laser radar data acquisition technology was chosen after comparing all the methods of both contact measurement and non-contact measurement. Although laser radar data acquisition technology has the advantage of high speed, high accuracy, wide measurement range, the measurement result has to be taken some treatment such as data reposition, data filter, data remove, data interpolation and data segmentation. Then the method of reconstructing curves and surfaced are illustrated based on NURBS mathematical model and the error of the reconstructed model is analyzed. At last, the continuity standards of automobiles light's outer surface are discussed, and the fairness of the reconstructed model is evaluated. |
