There are several characteristics of laser radar, for instance, small volume and high resolving power and powerful antijamming capability It can measure speed and distance, track accurately, guide for navigation, communicate and detect the underwater and so on. So laser radar technique has been widely used in military equipments and civilian products.This paper proceeds a theoretical analysis of stray light which is generated by wave plates, we use Jones matrix to calculate whether the stray light through the polarizing beam splitter can occur reflection. The paper shows through the fine tuning of mechanical structure of the coherent laser radar, the stray light generated from the system can meet the requirement of the coherent laser radar.This paper researches on the optical system which is an important part of coherent laser radar. It focuses on the analysis of stray light which is generated from laser radar optical system. Finally, the model has been built in the TracePro software using the coherent laser radar parameters. By verifying the theory, we can estimate the stray light and propose the proposal of suppressing stray light.
