The Study Application Of Machine Vision In Laser Marking

As one key technique of automatic production, machine vision widely applied on production equipment, it can improve the production efficiency, product quality. It can reduce the production cost. So machine vision become the hotspot, recently. Based on the principle of machine vision and laser marking equipment, the application on machine vision in laser marking equipment is studied in this thesis.First, the basic principles of the machine vision and laser marking equipment are analised, the composition of existing laser marking system is also given. Secondly, a set of machine vision system based on infrared LED light source and infrared CMOS industrial camera for the existing equipment is designed. Theoretical analysis and experimental research of light source, lens and camera are conducted. Finally, digtal images with the easy edge recognition are obtained by the machine vision system. Errors introduced by various parts of the system are analysed and the corresponding solutions are given. Results show that machine vision applied in laser marking can make laser marking equipment to be automation production and it can achieve the domestic leading level.
