Visual image processing began in the 1940 s.At that time,the development of computers reached a certain level.People used computers to process visual images.With the development of the times,sensors such as CCD and COMS were updated.The amount of image information that needs to be processed has become enormous,which makes computers and other similar platforms appear more and more incapable of speed in the processing of visual images,they have a certain delay.FPGA chips have emerged for this reason,FPGA chips have high integration,data parallel processing and large capacity etc,it has been more and more used in the field of signal processing,data transmission,video image processing,Especially in the field of dynamic video image processing where real-time is required,such as public transportation,security monitoring etc,FPGA can process image data very quickly,it can meet the requirements of real-time.Dynamic video image processing is inseparable from the detection and tracking technology of moving targets.This paper mainly studies the image detection technology that uses FPGA to process video of moving objects.In the paper,The visual inspection system of mobile target consists of a hardware platform and detection algorithm.The hardware platform includes: CMOS camera,CMOS interface,FPGA chip,SDRAM chip and VGA,PC with VGA.Using the software quartus13.0Altera FPGA and Verilog to write hardware drivers such as CMOS camera and VGA interface,real-time video image acquisition function is realized by the above hardware.The algorithm for detecting moving objects mainly utilizes the interframe difference method,The algorithm part mainly translating RAW8 video stream to RGB888 video stream,RGB888 video stream to YCbCr444 video stream,performing grayscale processing and median filtering,finally,the image data is processed by the interframe different method.Through the processing of the above algorithm,the real-time conter of the moving target is obtained.Through the experiment,the processed speed of the FPGA chip reaches 25frames/second,the image data is processed in real time,the detection of the moving target is completed.
