With the rapid development of national economy, logistics industry has become a new service industry. However, because of low level of information technology application, highly fragmented market, the overall level of China's logistics industry is low, with severe situation in high energy consumption, high cost and low efficiency. In 2009, the State Council officially released Logistics Industry Restructuring & Revitalization Plan, which specifically requested: To strengthen logistics infrastructure, to improve the degree of logistics standardization and information level. The development of modern logistics industry should be supported by advanced technology with main line of integration of logistics and information. In 2010, National Development and Reform Commission submitted Chinese Academy of Engineering to start the research on the development strategic plan of Chinese internet of things. Among these, Intelligent Logistics, as one of the top ten industries in development and research, has become the great concern.The Internet of Things is not only the entry point of integration between China's information technology and industrialization, but also the direction for transition of Telecom operators. The interconnection of vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-goods and vehicle-to-monitoring center will be achieved, as application of the internet of things into transportation, by the sensing devices in vehicles (like RFID, Sensors, Cameras, etc.) for collecting related information of vehicles and goods on them, through mobile communication network, and so consequently a smarter and safer logistics transport will be achieved.Based on above information, combined with the author's experience and understanding from years of implementation of Intelligent Logistics Applications, this thesis will make a careful study and analysis of related technologies of Intelligent Logistics Applications, including RFID, video monitoring, positioning, WCDMA network, trunked mobile communication and so on, with the purpose of providing a more appropriated combination of technologies for Intelligent Logistics Applications in different situations. The commercial system still need to, within the budget of the enterprises, balance the conflicts between system's functionality, performance and one-time investment, post-operation costs. The author's main research work includes:1) To deeply analyze related data of logistics industry and informatization demand of logistics enterprises, carefully study related policies and issues about the internet of things and Intelligent logistics in Nation's Five-year Program, discuss the pattern and trend of domestic logistics informatization, and determine the direction of this thesis.2) According to the architecture of the internet of things, to carefully study the related technologies of Intelligent Logistics Applications from such three levels as perception layer, network layer and application layer and detailed expatiate the basic concept, basic rationale, capability analysis, application scene and etc. of every technology and equipment.3) Combined with a certain logistics enterprise's informatization demand, to detailed introduce how to design a system of Intelligent Logistics Applications, especially to make compromise on the technical solutions to achieve better system performance with limited budget and time constraint, discuss how to resolve the one-to-many voice calls in the trunked mobile communication without affecting the customer's experience in the limited conditions. This innovative approach in similar projects has been successfully referred.4) After the system commercialization, it is necessary to analyze the customer feedback carefully in order to improve and perfect the system. As to a commercial Intelligent Logistics system, we need carefully study customers' real concern, not only in system performance, but also communication flow, the amount of electricity used, information storage and other practical issues related to operation costs. Finally, it is very important to comprehensively summarize experiences and shortages during the system design and construction, with the successful experience of this project replicated into similar logistics informatization application.
