It is of great significance to our country to achieve high yield and quality of crops and reasonable agricultural structure. Given the bottleneck of China’s modern agriculture development, It become the starting point study to achieve intelligent greenhouses and home grown by using information technology. By fully integrating networking and Internet, using the advanced sensor technology, embedded technology, wireless communication technology and data storage technology can the conditions for crop growth to be monitored. The system can complete the real-time acquisition of data for parametic such as temperature, moisture, light and so on. This system has the following advantages in agricultural applications:the use of low cost, easy to operate, reasonable sound agricultural management model, improving agricultural output and increasing farmers’ income.Work process of the system is as follows. Firstly, system captures key information relevant to plant growth such as temperature, humidity of soil and air, light and carbon dioxide. Then the system sends the data in real time to the control unit which is called Raspberry Pi to store and process. Followed, the storage and link between data and databases are achieved through the Raspberry Pi’s access to Internet in the environment of WIFI combining with the corresponding software. Finally, users can monitor the remote data in real time and view historical data by logging server through Internet.This topic conducts for the status quo of China’s agricultural development and actual needs of planting enterprise and home plant nurseries and realizes the system of intelligent planting monitoring based on technology of Internet of things. In this paper, the working process of functional modules achieving of information capturing are analysed. Appropriate hardware building and software development process are shown clearly. The stored data is obtained through linking to database.Now the main research in this article is summarized as follows.Firstly, this paper analysis the development situation and research ideas and then elaborates key technology and sensor selection. In the design of this system, framework and function modules are constructed from overall demand for of the system. In the introduction part, the main technology such as internet of Things, wireless communications for WIFI and data storage technology are elaborated.Secondly, it’s the design and implementation of functional sub-module. Five functional modules are built to timely monitor crop growth parameters including temperature and the humidity of soil, temperature and humidity of air, light intensity and carbon dioxide concentration and the growth video. Among them, in the module of monitoring soil temperature and humidity, a control unit development in python software platform to drive DHT11 to capture information of the soil and provide alarm function by default. In addition, for the entire system, the control device is linked to Internet via the LAN port WIFI access to achieve data transmission and storage backup to database. In image acquisition module, HDMI video is get through the entire image capture via digital cameras and the compression via Raspberry.Thirdly, it is the design and implemention of intelligent planting monitoring system based on technology of Internet of Things. At first, this part describes the hardware structure and business processes by describing modules in the form of a chart. Then analyses and promotes the linking and storage process for the monitoring data. Finally, some advices are given to well applying the system to agriculture.
