| With the rapid development of electronic communication technology and integrated circuit technology, embedded systems have become new focus of the electronic equipment design and manufacturing. Embedded systems are widely used in a large number of control equipment, industrial production, military technology and consumer electronics devices. As a new and emerging technology, fingerprint recognition also have been introduced to the field requiring more safety features, such as access control, attendance, and other. However, in financial field, especially banking and payment business, the fingerprint application are only at the initial stage. So this paper will describe the Fingerprint POS terminal R&D process.Firstly, this paper list the fingerprint POS product design knowledge and necessary industry background, the biometric technical detail, especially fingerprint identification technology; financial payments and POS products which are widely used. In order to design the terminal, introduced the embedded system, especially in the embedded LINUX system. Secondly from hardware and software part, this paper give a detailed description on the product design details. Hardware, including mould structure design, hardware CPU FLASH and RAM, power supply circuit, fingerprint module, card interface, tamper with reference to POS terminal design, communication interfaces and other details. Secondly, according to the debug and trial production process, this article give the result of the fingerprint POS terminal function details, especially on the fingerprint function and tamper function. This product design achieve the desired functionality. |
