With the development of science and technology,people have high demand for lives.in the enjoyment of audio and video,home theater are becoming popular increasingly,portable electronic devices are becoming increasingly mature.At present,people's research for embedded media player is more and more widely.At home and abroad,there have been many brands of portable embedded media player such as MP3,MP4 and smart phones.However,due to various restrictions of conditions and environment,These portable media players can only play a single or fixed numbers of media formats,less scalability.Now,with increasing appliacations,more and more advanced compression algorithms have been proposed,this has led to diversification of media format.In this case,it is necessary to embedded media player to adapt to a variety of formats.To this end,through research and reference of design architecture of a variety of players in PC,this paper mainly design a scalable architecture for the embedded media player in the software,design the interface for player and realize a number of functions of the player.In addition,the article also introduces a system design scheme of multimedia player Based on embedded technology.The system mainly develop multimedia player in support of the operating system through loading the operating system to the embedded chip and expanding the necessary interface.In this article,In the process of the entire system designing,using the processor of Intel's PXA270,expanding the outside interface of USB,customing and loading the operating system of Linux,writing drivers for each expanding interface with the support of operating system,developing a multimedia player graphics with QT / Embedded and achieving corresponding functions.finally,images can be displayed on the LCD screen or on the computer screen through the VGA interface,sound signals can be sent to the CODEC chip through IIS bus of PXA270 processor to converted to analog signals,and then through the speakers or headphones and other equipment played.
