In the 21st century, e-government has gained an unprecedented development at home and abroad. The governments from different countries all put great passion into it. On one hand, the governments help users intervene into this service with better ways through continuous development and reform; on the other hand, governments are facing challenges. The data shows that nearly 35% of projects is a total failure in developing e-government, about 50% is part of the failure, only about 15% is considered to be entirely successful.There is also information on e-government ecosystem which with the information ecology. China's e-government faces many problems. Healthy information ecology of e-government should be collaboratively developed by all kinds of environments above. Information ecology of e-government is very complicated. Many factors must be considered. To be able to build a real information ecosystem with china's characteristics of e-government, we need to have a comprehensive understanding of the factors of the regional information ecosystem and the chain of information flow and information increment.This article draws the existed research results, explores the construction of e-government in China based on information ecosystem which mainly taken the literature survey and network survey method.The first chapter introduces the background, status, purpose, significance, methods of the research, and introduced the findings and innovation of the research.The second chapter introduces construction of e-government progress and problems in progress.The third chapter briefly describes the theory of information ecology, on the background of these theories, it defines information ecology of e-government, and then points out the characteristics of information ecology of e-government.The fourth chapter analyzes the ecology of e-government, including the determination of system elements, the relationship between system elements, and the information chain, and information increment. On the basis of the theories above, Chapter V puts forward the principles and strategies for ecological construction.The sixth chapter is conclusion and outlook.
