The blood oxygen saturation is a key parameter of the blood circulation system as well as the cardio-respiratory system, which reflects the human health level or the condition of oxygen of people. This thesis presents an oxygen sensor system based on ZigBee wireless technology from combining the technology of traditional blood oxygen saturation monitor and wireless network technology. It realizes the oxygen saturation telemonitoring and creates the condition of homecare and telemedicine. It is significant for our country which is stepping into the aging society.To calculate the oxygen saturation, this thesis first established mathematical model, and then derived formula of oxygen saturation from Lambert-Beer law. On this basis along with the combination of the blood oxygen saturation examination and the ZigBoe technology, a wireless blood oxygen sensor system based on the ZigBee technology was designed.The main features of the wireless blood oxygen sensor system based on the ZigBee are:(1) With data acquisition and processing module of MSP430 microcontroller. In wireless sensor networks, Choosing CPU is first considered. The ultra-low power MCU with LCD driver, MSP430FG439, can make the oxygen data acquisition node module work in low-power. It meets the requirement of the wireless blood oxygen sensor system.(2) CC2430 is used in wireless transmitter module. It supports the IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee protocol, and has a higher receiving sensitivity and a stronger resistance to interference with 250Kb/s transmission speed. Meanwhile, the power consumption is extremely low. The chip can be used for future ZigBee network nodes such as the top software development and research foundation.(3) RS232 serial interface is used in oxygen data acquisition node module to transmit data. In this thesis, the oxygen data acquisition node module can either connect with a wireless transmitter module, which can realize multi-node network monitor, or connect directly with PC constituting a separate blood oxygen saturation monitoring instrument. In addition, with the help of data transmission between RS232 serial interface with PC, it is also very convenience for oxygen data acquisition node module to realize hardware and software debugging. (4)The use of ZigBee simplification protocol can realize blood oxygen saturation sensor nodes broadcast communication. The procedures and processes of the simplification protocol are very clear. Only the process of running and the function of some functions are needed to master, and the configuration is very simple. Moreover, the ZigBee simplification protocols can realize the main function of the agreement. For learning ZigBee and the development of some simple applications, the ZigBee simplification protocol has certain superiority from the development difficulty to the cost.In this thesis, the design of oxygen sensor system based on ZigBee is possiblely to change the current situation of existing community/family health services and rehabilitation medical and geriatric care. The application prospects are very promising.
