The society attaches more importance to health check-up along with the society developing and standard of living improving. More and more medical instruments with right results and little time are urgent needed. It is good for the goal of all people's general health. It's crucial for human body to obtain enough oxygen. Medically it's thought that hypoxia is the ultimate reason of some illness. It is dangerous for life. Most oxygen is exchanged into the blood and transported to all the histiocytes. We should know about the information of body health by detecting the oxygen saturation of blood. As an important physiological index, oxygen saturation of blood has been used in the fields of real-time monitor, clinical medicine and so on. Human body blood oxygen saturation detecting system based on the theory of near infrared (NIR) technique has high accuracy and no injury to the body. It's appropriate for Real-Time and consecutive inspection and used widely in actual life.For the requirement of actual applications, author studied the efficacious arithmetic to calculate the blood oxygen saturation of human body based on the theory of NIR technique and developed the Human body blood oxygen saturation detecting system with high performance, low power ullage and micromation.This project is described in four parts mainly: the first part introduces the history of human body blood oxygen saturation inspection and the up to date headway. The second part introduces' the theory of NIR and deduces the efficacious arithmetic based on the theory. Author also discusses the methods to improve the accuracy and reduce the system error. There is some useful measuring arithmetic too. The third part describes the whole hardware system and details the LED drive, signal detecting & calculating, USB communicating and so on. The forth part describes the whole software system and details the software flow control and the data calculating method. There are some introduction about PC display program and LCD driver. The fifth part discusses the measuring results. According to clinical inspection and test, the human body blood oxygen saturation detecting system is feasible and accurate.
