These years, our country has stepped into the senile society, the pulmonary heart disease has become one of concerned focus of medical departments. Pulmonary heart disease often causes the lung to be oxygen-deficient, which will induce respiratory distress and in worse instances may cause the patient to be dead. Because the symptom of oxygen-deficient is drastic fall of the oxygen saturation of blood, it is very important to monitor the oxygen saturation of blood in the process of prevention and cure of pulmonary heart disease. It can conveniently provide direct and effective operation evidences for doctor's clinical diagnosis to monitor the oxygen saturation of blood by the non-invasive method. In order to meet the need of family community, this paper is to design a portable non-invasive pulse oximeter. This paper discusses the present technology of pulse oximeter and analyses the theoretical model of non-invasive pulse oximeter in detail. This paper designs the analog circuit of detecting pulse wave, presents a hardware solutions for the non-invasive pulse oximeter using AT89C55WD 8-bit digital signal processor, detailedly analyses the function and the designing method of each unit of system, and finally finishs the debugging of hardware system. On the research of software system: this paper reduces noise and baseline drift of pulse wave through the technology of digital filtering; applies the self-study threshold filtering to eliminate the motion artifact; applies the method of five-point difference to detect the characteristic points of pulse wave. The research work of this paper can play a positive role for promoting the development of health care of family community.
