Nowadays grid is called the third generation of internet application. As an emerging Internet technology, grid is much stronger than the Internet in terms of function and performance. Whether can the grid system find resources efficiently in Grid Environment is one of important criteria to maeasure a grid systerm. That's to say , Whether can the grid system find resources efficiently in Grid Environment is the basis of grid resource sharing. Based on the throughly analysis of research status at home and abroad, this paper sets improving efficiency of resource discovery and reducing system burden as a goal, makes further study for discovery mechanism of grid resource.Considering the characteristics of the grid resources, this thesis attempts to seek a more reasonable resource discovery algorithm and more effective resource renewal algorithm.Based on previous, this paper mainly makes the following research and innovation:(1)This thesis introduces grid and grid computing. Describes the current popular typical grid technology.(2)This thesis analyzes the current shortcomings of Grid Resource Discovery, and raised the concept of hierarchical model of grid resources according to the above problems. It also designs resources representation methods for the model namely resources matrix notation.(3)This thesis designs the grid resource discovery algorithm and update algorithm, gives Resources discovery algorithm and resource update algorithm on the basis of Hierarchical Grid Resource Model.(4)This thesis carries a simulation experiment to the grid resource discovery algorithm using JAVA and concludes the feasible results which can improve the whole performance of the grid. Finally, this paper makes a comparative analysis with P2P resource discovery.
