Research On Grid Resourcce Discovery Mechanism

Grid resource discovery is the base of grid resources sharing, and whether or not discover the resource efficiently is one of the basic standards to value the grid system. But when grid tends towards practicality from research of basic theory, the grid systems put forward advanced requests on grid resource discovery. For example, the ability of extensive, request based on attributes, range query, and so on. With the goal of improving the efficiency of resource discovery and release the loads of system, the resource discovery mechanism is researched thoroughly, and the problem is discussed deeply ground works of states.Firstly, the resource discovery example of Globus and the Vega Grid resource discovery method and the resource discovery methods of P2P are discussed. Aim at the disadvantages of the centralized resource discovery mechanism and the flooding resource discovery method, a layered grid resource discovery model is designed based on the networks have the small-world characteristics and the performance of grid nodes is difference. The nodes of grid system are divided into proxy nodes and normal nodes. The proxy nodes are composed of capacity and steady nodes, and the normal nodes need registering to the proxy nodes. The resources manage system and the registration and the logon segments of the layered grid resource discovery model are also analyzed.Secondly, resource matrix expression of resource expression is proposed. The operation rules of the resource matrix are also designed. Whether or not a resource belongs to a resource set using the resource matrix are put forward. And the algorithm of resource discovery and the algorithm of resource refresh are designed at the layered grid resource discovery model.Finally, we provide a simulation system using the algorithm we proposedwith java language at the layered grid resource discovery model. And we dosome analysis with the flooding resource discovery algorithm.
