Luojiang Maternal And Child Health Hospital Children's Health Management Information System Design And Implementation

The aim of IT application in maternal and child hygiene is to improve information processing and enhance the efficiency of information use by applying computer and network technologies in the management of information of maternal and child hygiene. According to the requirements of《the basic function standards of maternal and child care information system(trial implementation)》released by bureau of informatization leading team in the Ministry of Public Health in February2008,the author designs and programs the child care management system of Luojiang County's Maternal and Child Care Service Centre.Luojiang County ,Maternal and Child Care Information System ( LCMCCIS) adopt the B/S model, which is so popular nowadays. Use the UML to modeling and advanced MVC designing model and achieved the informatization of basic files management, partum care management birth certificate management and child care management. among them, the child care information system is the core of the whole system and other subsystem acting as the supporting system of it.LCMCCIS has a reasonable structure, friendly UI, good extendibility and perfect functions as followed:(1) The management functions of LCMCCIS's basic data;(2) The management functions of server information during pregnancy;(3) The management functions of Born Medical Certificate Information;(4) The management functions of the children's Health Checkup Information.The (4) subsystem is the core of LCMCCIS. The others not only provide basic information for the information management of maternal and child hygiene work of the hospital, but also is the follow-up information management system of the hospital, such as the women care information management system, ante partum physical examining and diagnosing information management system, gynecopathy examining information management system and some data interface related with the maternal and child hygiene system.The children's parents can become system's client by visiting the website and registering. The medical staff create and keep the record including the detail information of every insured child by using the system. So that the hospital could use and manage the these information efficiently and the clients can keep track of their children's health condition at any time. At the same time, the system achieve the information management of birth certificate . and by using the relevant graphics the system provide personalized, follow-up service about the health and growth of every insured child.
