In recent years, with the high-speed development of power grid,the equipment governed by the Electric Power Enterprise is increasing with every passing day, and the task of repairing and overhauling is becoming more strenuous. Also the safety equipment required has been multiplied, and the quality of the safety equipment will affect the safety of people and equipment during the process of production. So the effective management of safety equipment is important to protect the safety of various types of operational staff.The current management of safety equipment in power supply enterprise contains a series of work, including applying for, purchase, dispensing, scrap, etc. It involves security management departments, test departments and each grassroots units. It has a great heavy of work load, and many crossovers. Since many departments are involved, dead ends would emerge easily.Moreover, no matter in terms of space for storage or management, the old-fashioned way of writting with a pen is far behind the need of safety equipment management. The idea of using RFID and related technology to solve management problems and Instruments came into being in this context.Radio Frequency Identification RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a non-contact automatic identification technology. Via RF signal, it identifies target and get relevant data automatically. The identification doesn't need manual intervention. The technology of RFID can identify high-speed moving objects and multiple tags simultaneously. The operation is very convenient. Using this technology can allow automatic identification of safety equipment. Combination of Web Service technology allows automatic processing real-time monitoring and complete online management of the equipment. It simplifies the manual operation greatly and it makes the work much more efficient.Aiming at the current problems in the safety equipment management, I expounded the meanings of the research in this paper. Based on the study of RFID and related technologies, combining with the actual demand of safety equipment management, I proposed a design scheme on RFID safety equipment management system. The system adopted UML modeling. It specified the main cases and designed the work flow involved in detail. On the basis of the model designed, I proposed overall structure for RFID-based security equipment management system and provided a full database design. After that we described the key technology for the system achievement, the implement of the database interface, the excogitation of ActiveX plug-in and the communication between RFID reader-writer and the server. We also showed final specific interface of the main function of the system.By using advanced RFID (radio frequency identification) technology, and WEB version interface, we could realize the intelligent management on power safety equipment database management. We could also save the cost of human resources and improve work efficiency and accuracy.
