The urban water supply project relates to the normal life and production of urban residents and enterprises. The process of water supply is monitored by computers. It will be helpful for improving the reliability and stability of water supply system, satisfying the demand of users, guaranteeing the quality of the water supply. In addition, since fresh water resource is becoming less and less, water conservation is one of the objectives of urban water supply monitoring system. What's more, monitoring system aims to conserve electricity to reduce costs, ensuring the monitoring equipments to run normally and keeping the water supply system stable. Based on the field of industrial remote monitoring control,urban water supply monitoring system involves automatic control, communication and computer technology. Computer monitoring system integrates important data of the grading system and real-time information into the monitoring system, making it become a command and data center.Based on the water supply project of the CaoFei-dian industry zone, this paper introduces the design of urban water supply PLC control system, including the central monitoring system which monitors and controls the reservoir water supplying system in real time; Three PLC control sub-stations to achieve the automatic constant pressure water supplying and remote monitoring, with automatic frequency / constant pressure operation, remote automatic and manual controlling functions on-site; Plant closed-circuit video remote monitoring system to achieve network of information releasing, the database server to connect to the monitoring center, monitoring and viewing the pumping station, chlorination and substation, displaying remote real-time event and completing resource sharing and interaction.The result of the commissioning and actual operation in this system shows that the operation is running well and meeting the requirements of the design. The system has improved automation level of water supply system in industrial park. It also has enhanced the reliability and stability of the water supply system.
