Currently, some part of the tests on railway signaling equipments are automatically conducted by microcomputer measurement programs, while other are done manually. For the latter, the testing personnel needs to record the measurement data on main sheets, and prepares two copies, one is saved by the testing personnel himself, and the other is submitted to the managing personnel for monitoring the state of equipments and then tabulate statistics. Due to the inefficiency of the present manual testing, it is necessary to research and develop a new type of Electric Parameter Tester, which is capable of expeditious updating the measurement data, checking workshops and classes in remote areas, and promptly correcting the discovered problems in time and thus ensuring the equipment management run efficiently and orderly.In the thesis, an electric parameter tester with multifunctional signaling equipment, based on embedded systems, is a device designed to achieve high efficiency and timely monitoring. According to the theory of system integration, the designed tester constitutes two parts, the measurement system based on DSP and the main board based on VRS51L3074. The two parts communicate with each other by RS232 serial. After the completion of the tests, data is transmitted to the computer through the RS232 serial. The new generation of Digital Signal Processing TMS320F2812 made by TI Corporation, characterized by rapid and high-performance, is used as the main controller for measurement system. It can complete tasks such as signal acquisition and data extent-adjust. For the main board, VRS51L3074 processor embedded with 8KB FRAM memory of RAMTRON Corporation is selected as the core processor, which completes functions of reading, recording, displaying, storing, transmitting and second processing and analyzing data.The designed tester has realized these functions, including electric parameters signal acquisition, processing and display, high capacity data storage with time information, data transmission and simple data processing. In the thesis, an overall project scheme is presented on the basis of an analysis of acquisition signal and the function of testing. For the part of measurement system based on DSP, a hardware circuit module for the acquisition boards is designed, and followed the flow chart of the main program and a typical signal acquisition processing program, and an analysis of the algorithm and testing of the performance of data acquisition and amplitude adjustment. For the main board part, the author designed a hardware circuit of the main board, and developed a software system on the basis of the hardware circuit, and thus realized the module communication and completed the specific functions of the tester. Furthermore, the author also designed external keyboard and displaying LCD for the tester, and finished collecting testing analyzing data. And by the results of testing and analyzing confirmed the system is feasible. In order to reduce the error of testing signal, this thesis also adopted a matching method based on FFT and CZT joint the amplitude-frequency algorithm and optimized the bilinear maxim, frequency measurement techniques for the data processing analysis, further improved the functions of the system. Finally, the thesis summarizes the study and points out the inadequacy of the system and the method to be improved.
