The paper introduces the research background,the research meaning,the history and the research status of the testing system of the quanlity of the laser beam. Whether the quanlity of the laser beam is good or not is very important,it can easily estimate whether the laser beam fit the requirement. Several traditional parameters of evaluation of the quanlity of the laser beam,such as the size of the focal spot, Strehl ratio.emanative angle of laser beam and M2 factor,are introduced and their advantages and shortcomings are pointed out.An integrated testing system of the quanlity of the laser beam has been designed and it can calculate the size of the focal spot, emanative angle of laser beam and M2 factor.The measuring of the size of the focal spot, emanative angle of laser beam and M2 factor are introduced and based on comparing them,we choose the test scheme to use in the system.Meanwhile, the optical system.the mechanical system.the hardware system and the software system are designed.The workpieces,which used in the system,are also selected reasonably.At last, the paper analyse the precision of the system,and measure and calculate the size of the focal spot, emanative angle of laser beam and M2 factor through the experiment.
