With today's rapid development of information technology, the accelerated pace of life, people's lifestyle also will be a huge change. Home is no longer just for people to daily life in terms of physical space, can provide safe, comfortable, convenient and efficient living environment has become the universal demand. Smart home system is in such a historical background, and rapid development. Based on the analysis of the existing system based on smart home, an ARM processor-based intelligent home control system is proposed in this thesis. This system uses the popular Linux operating system, wireless technology to achieve a variety of information collection, data transmission and other functions. The main features of this program are:(1) the hardware platform based on ARM9, using its powerful processing capabilities and rich peripheral expansion capability to achieve various internal bus smart home monitoring and control.(2) software based on embedded Linux operating system design.(3)modular design, system design uses modular design, user can choose any combination of the actual demand. This will not only meet the needs of users at different levels, but also save costs and avoid unnecessary waste of the port module.(4) using the Linux operating system, design user-friendly interface and user-friendly to use.(5) based on the traditional increase in security alarm field image acquisition, processing, storage function design based on the requirements of this thesis. The first program on the system overall design scheme is proposed, and then under the guidance of the overall design, the hardware platform design, including S3C2410 and wireless modules, such as external storage systems, set design. Linux software platform is built. It includes the development environment to build, bootloader transplant, the kernel of the transplant, a variety of peripheral driver development. Further research for future smart home system has laid a good foundation.
