Compared to other types of display technologies electroluminescence display (organic electroluminesence display) technology have many incomparable advantages, such as low power consumption, fast response, wide viewing angle, to achieve high-resolution display, wide temperature characteristics, the cost Low, high brightness, high contrast, light weight, easy to implement and flexible full-color display. Therefore, in flat panel display industry has been widespread concern, is considered the most likely to replace the LCD display device. Therefore, the study OLED display system has broad application prospect.In this paper, organic light emitting display of the history, status and trends of development and the use of field programmable gate array (FPGA) for the basic process design and hardware description language such as a brief summary to introduce the OLED device structure, job characteristics, the circuit driving method and principle, expounded AMOLED display driver circuit and its surrounding structure and principles, and on this basis was proposed based on the external drive AMOLED FPGA control system design.The program control using FPGA OLED driver circuit to controller design for the FPGA core, peripheral control IC for a specific design, build, controller model and the algorithm flow circuit module, through the ISE software, in all its internal integrated circuit modules design and simulation, the simulation waveform of the correct, complete resolution (320×240) of the AMOLED drive circuit.
