In the economic globalization process, frequent trade dealings make people have more occasions and chances to contact with each other. It's often the first impression that determines the success of the deal. Follow the steps of prosperity, Yan Tai trade becomes gradually the representative of fashion and charm. So the people pay more attention to their personal image than before. Since the inborn appearance can't be changed, people's demand of rebuilding themselves becomes even stronger than before rebuilding with the hand of the character image designer. In this situation, Yan Tai International Biao Bang School is going to hold a character image design contest. With a few fashion units in order to discover more character image design genius and spread image design knowledge, improve people's fashion taste and introduce charming Yan Tai to the world. After having a study of all kinds of publicizing methods, we finally decided to make the contest information public in the form of media promo. Therefore, the design and making of character image design contest play a key role in the success of the contest. Having learned the purpose of the holder of the contest, the thesis mainly analyzes the aesthetic demand of audience groups, and has a brief analysis of the aesthetic expression of the promo.The thesis's main work is to design and make "Night's charming" character image design contest promo, and take it as the subject of autistic design and realization of packing and propaganda of the contest. First of all, the thesis summarized to the character image design and the promo of the character image design contest. Secondly, the characters design competition to host the basis of intention fully understand, this paper character image design contest promo positioning analysis. In addition, on the aesthetic art contest audience groups based on demand at the same time, a brief analysis of the contest promo artistic expression of several demand.Based on the demand analysis, we made a creative design of the promo and described the creative process of it. Firstly established the thesis and promoting conception of the promo. Secondly they had a detailed design of the image carrier, background color and theme color, freestyle composition and background music of the promo. Then combined with detailed creative design draft, described the rapid change of color state of the aesthetic and abstract shape of "flower" in four parts (purple overture, green evolution, yellow release and red climax), and finally drive the design plan of the contest so as to explain the purpose of the contest:emphasize individuality, stress distinctive character, pursue fashion and encourage innovation.In the fourth part of the thesis, the technical realization of creative design of the promo is mainly talked about. The process of creative design of the promo and technical realization is mainly described. Firstly, it introduces briefly the computer hardware requirement of the promo and it's making process. Secondly, it has a detailed design of the model, animation, font, lens, combination and clip with the design software including Maya, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere according to design and making process.In the last part of this thesis, the applying situation to the promo of the character image design contest is briefly introduced. The problems and developing trend of the promo are explored and analyzed. And then it summarized the creative and realization process of the design and put forward its deficiency.
