Telecommunications industry has experienced rapid development period of 20 years, now has become the most important part of the national economy and people's basic tools essential for the production and living. With the rapid growth in the number of users over the years, the number of users tends to saturation, in the past proven to improve the user to expand the number of user groups targeted approach has shown signs of weakness in the operation. While the domestic telecom operators have faced the Internet technology, intelligent terminals, and other heterogeneous competition. Therefore, mining potential users, enhancing the user perception and offering a variety of services have become the trend of telecommunications industry.For the needs of raising users perception, a telecommunications carrier proposes the intelligent monitor system in telecommunications network management, to make the monitor with the feature of "automation, entirety, scene, three-dimension", to realize the transition from monitoring facing equipment and network to that facing service and users perception, to find the abnormalities before customer complaints.Among them, from the mass of data mining services business metrics and user perception of the operation is an important part of intelligent monitoring system, so this paper put forward the concept of trend monitoring. Trend monitoring platform based on historical data, through a certain algorithm to calculate the corresponding data in the normal range for some time, in order to determine real-time data in real time, reports the exception when the actual value exceeds the estimated range. Trend monitoring platform is a common platform to real-time analyze and find an exception for all performance indicators, indicators of business operations.This paper describes scenarios of trend monitoring, discusses the important role of trend monitoring in daily monitoring, major activities, major natural disasters, holidays, and other major emergencies. This paper make a brief description of the trend monitoring processes, including target acquisition, baseline setting and generation, alarm generation, presentation and other monitoring. This paper describes the application development environment and tools of trend monitoring, including C++language on background and C# language on front.This paper elaborates the research and development process trend monitoring platform according to the software engineering process, including the business requirements, user needs and functional requirements on the basis of requirement research, and performance requirement and performance optimization strategies based on performance requirements analysis. This paper make the comparison of of the baseline calculation algorithms such as the probability distribution algorithms, sorting algorithms, average algorithm, noise data processing algorithm.It is described that the results presentation mode of the monitoring such as matrix mode, alarm window mode, dynamic baseline mode. It is introduced with a actual case that the application of trend monitoring system in actual production.Trend monitoring platform has been developed and has been taken into real application in some provinces. Through continuous improvement, the trend monitoring platform will eventually become an important mean of telecommunication network management component.
