A Design And Study For Broadband IP Man Optimization Of Zhengzhou Unicom

As an extension of IP backbone network,IP MAN(Metropolition Area Network) is an independent manageable IP network,located in a city or geographic area,providing video,audio and data access,converge and transfer for personal and enterprise user. With the increasing requirement of services and bandwidth, multi-service bearer of IP MAN will be the next emphases of optimization and transformation for network operators.In this thesis,depending on the guiding ideology of China Unicom,the author introduces relevant functions and characteristics of IP MAN from all levels by relying on relative standards of communication industy as well as summary of experience from practical maintain work.With the current status of IP MAN from operators,as well as the development of IP technology and requirement of services of internet,the author raises advices of optimization aimimg at part of the network nodes in the network status and maintenance problems in the IP MAN of Zhengzhou,China Unicom.To provide services and control ability concentricity by construct a layer of service access control which have components of Broadband Remote Access Service(BRAS) and Service Router(SR).It can also enhance the centralized authentication billing and network management system, promoting the manageability of network, achieving the services support and network management in telecommunication view, which is a strong support for developing the follow-up IP business.
