With the development of network technology and IPTV service, telecommunications operator can supply information service and wonderful content to users with the help of IPTV network, fully effective use of network resources. Meanwhile the IPTV operation of telecommunications services already expanded use of terminals, and broaden the TV terminal can support, the scope of business of learning and life for users provide abundant resources.Based on the basis of IPTV network of Henan Unicom, this paper expounds the basic principle and related technologies of IPTV system, stress the current situation about the network system and the existing problems of IPTV network of Henan Unicom, such as network bandwidth problems, multicast problems and QoS security problems were analyzed. According to the development dimensions and service requirement of IPTV network of Henan Unicom, the author counted the bandwidth and flow rate, and submited his own optimization scheme on the IPTV network. Meanwhile the author made a comprehensive performance testing for the adjusted IPTV system.The research of this paper has several reference value to the development of IPTV system in the future.Distance education system of rural party members and cadres is the typical application of IPTV operation over Henan mode. In many provinces, the mode has already run. In this paper, the system structure and network architecture of the system are discussed briefly, and the network bandwidth and flow requirements of this system are counted.Finally, the paper talks about the future of business and technology development trend about IPTV system, and the author trusts that the future of IPTV will become more and more fine.
