Mobile communication system GSM to UMTS to HSPA from the development process, the air interface technology continues to evolve. With the new air interface technology continues to using, the cell can provide the high data rate and throughput. The demand for wireless data services with rapid growth challenges the traditional network architecture, so the traditional network architecture needs to be constantly evolution. At present mobile communication system has been developed to LTE stage, LTE project is the result of 3G (UMTS) evolution and 3G evolves 4G by LTE. It has improved and enhanced 3G (UMTS) air interface technology with OFDMA and MIMO technology that is the standard of its wireless network evolution.With the development of mobile communication network to the LTE phase, the wireless access network (UTRAN) will be a flat direction, RNC and NodeB functionality is combined into the base station (eNodeB). Core network architecture is moving on by the direction of flat IP network. LTE system, with new concept, the network architecture, technical key performance and solutions will be applied to the future of mobile broadband communication systems.This paper described the third generation UMTS mobile communication system evolution, analysis of the long term evolution LTE / EPC network architecture and implementation. Analyses interface and protocol of LTE/EPC. It discussed the mobility management in LTE / EPC system. The paper also analysed the key technologies in LTE/EPC radio access network such as OFDM and MIMO. It analysed the function of Bsed Station in LTE radio access network and implemented eNodeB commissioning and configuration and integration.With continuous evolution of mobile communication system, it speed up the needed for the communications personnel training and also it need to combine the communication theory of learning with the actual communication system. As it is difficulty that trainees to study and understand abstract communication systems for air interface access technology well, and communication system simulation software can be visualized in the implementation process, has become a communication experiment and demonstration of methods and means. In this paper, used open source software SCILAB / SCICOS development tools, developed and designed a demonstration and actionable OFDM communication system for teaching. That OFDM simulation system can achieve the purpose of combination theoretical with practical in training. Trainees have a more intuitive understanding the knowledge and principle on OFDM communication system.This paper mainly to the following aspects:1. Introduced and summarized the evolution of mobile communication and functional changes.2. Analyzed the key technologies LTE system and the main parameters, introduced in the LTE of MINO.3. Depth analyzed the interface function and protocol and discussed mobility management in LTE / EPC by signaling process,and also analyzed the implement solution of MME and SAE-GW based on NSN Hardware platform.4. Analyzed the functions of LTE/EPC system and planned parameters of test network. Completed NSN's eNodeB commissioning and integration, also improved eNodeB and testing and verification.5. Analyzed the OFDM communication system and designed solution and modules of OFDM system simulation by SCICOS. Developed LTE OFDM system simulation, module testing,LTE system with a new concept, network architecture, technical performance and technical solutions will be applied to the future of mobile broadband communication systems. Therefore, this paper analyzed and researche on LTE / EPC network architecture, interface protocol and provide the LTE/EPC solution and test based NSN's LTE network.
