With the rapid development of economic globalization, Chinese Armament industry is facing some serious challenge and has development opportunities. The production mode of majority war industry is small-scale and customization, as the result, the product design becomes the core factor for enterprise's competition. The program bases on CETC research program naming" information-based for structure of collectivity and test platform". This project is one of the programs. The research has studied the rapid design theory, method and key technology for mechanical products. A integrated rapid design system is established on product platform. In the integrated system, instance is basis of product design; Behavioral Modeling and KBE are methods. The parametric design based on the behavioral modeling and KBE is researched. With enterprises' actual demand and the above program, the rapid design system of antenna of pedestal is established.The paper includes the follow main contents:Based on the concepts of product rapid design, the author analyzed and summarized the technologies as well as the research and application at home and abroad. It mainly includes data-base technology, TOP_DOWN design technology, the theory and method of optimal design, behavioral modeling technology, KBE technology and so on. Finite elements analysis is research.Discussed characteristic of product, theory of product, the progress of design, applied the technologies, the project of rapid design that bases on product is introduced. It is presented the rapid design system of antenna of pedestal.The system includes:the flow of pedestal design is abstracted; the frame of pedestal rapid design and the parameter stream are established; the optimal designs of the rotary center of antenna and suited weight of antenna are analyzed; the rule of the pedestal's motion is analyzed; the parametric surface of motion is established. The rapid design system includes:proposal design, detailed design, analytical mechanics and engineering drawing.Finite element analysis is researched and applied.
