Design And Implementation Of Project Management Tool

With the development of economic globalization, the project development groups have become spanned beyond the same region internal development team. Meanwhile the project's size is increasing whose contents are more and more complex and the market competition is more and more fierce so it needs a dynamic management of information and data for a large number of various projects. In this situation a big problem was on the front of the business decision makers which is how to effective use project management theory and project management software for the effective management of the projects. As an important means of technology PMS (Project Management System) has become an indispensable part of modern project management. Although there have been a lot of mature PMS products, over-emphasized generality made them not fully apply to every company.This paper introduces the design and development of PM Tool (Project Management Tool) which is used in Real Time & Technology department. The author participate in research and construct PM Tool which is suitable for the department's special requirement such as project type and quantity in various, the project groups are border-crossing and so on. Firstly, it gives a briefly introduction of the theoretical knowledge and technologies which are related to PM Tool. Then according to the analysis of the system requirements and business process it chose to use MVC design pattern and B/S 4 layers architecture solution which is based on Microsoft.NET technology, also it introduces the module design, interface design and database design in the detailed design stage. Finally, in the implementation section, through a description of relevant classes and methods, and functional process description, it gives a detailed description of the implementation process of the project detail management module and the project plan management module; in the implementation of web page it used the AJAX technology to achieve to improve the user experience.This tool achieved an effective management of various and complex projects in this department, met the needs of different user roles, maximally shared information in various departments; eventually improve the competitiveness of enterprises.
