Two years have elapsed since"5.12"Wen chuan super earthquake happened; however, hitherto it is not appropriate to give a cold shoulder to the mental health of disaster victims. Even with the economic rehabilitation, they might still undergo much suffering caused by earthquake; consequently, the status quo of their anxiety is noteworthy.With a retrospection of major influencing factors of anxiety, 327 middle school and primary school teachers from disaster area were examined through five inventories: STAI, CSQ, SSRS, EPQ-RSC, DDI.Findings from this study documented that the average anxiety level of these teachers is within normal range, nevertheless 45.33% teachers were detected with anxiety, and 12% teachers were detected with severe anxiety. From gender, different age, different stricken region perspectives, there are no significant difference over state anxiety, trait anxiety or anxiety total points. Female teachers are more inclined to cope with appeal than male ones. The individual who is older than 36 is more inclined to cope with problem- solving than those below 30. Undeniably, much more social support has gained in disaster area; female teachers are more adept at using social support. State anxiety, trait anxiety and anxiety total points are significantly negatively correlated with problem- solving and appeal, and positively correlated with illusion, self- accusation, retreat, and rationalization. Anxiety total points, state anxiety and trait anxiety and are significantly negative correlated with every dimension of SSRS. State anxiety is significantly positively correlated with nervousness, and negatively correlated with extroversion, no significant correlation with psychoticism and lie. As for trait anxiety and anxiety total points, extroversion, psychoticism, nervousness, lie are all significantly correlated with both of them. Teachers'distress disclosure index is significantly related to trait anxiety, anxiety total points and state anxiety. Seven variables are taken into regression equation to prognosticate 49.5% anxiety of teachers in disaster area. To be detailed, nervousness shares 36.6% of it, and subjective support shares 4.6%, extroversion 2.7%, self- accusation 2%, distress disclosure 1.2%, objective support 1%, support utilization 1.4%.
