Classical Chinese writings are the most precious cultural heritages our forefathers left, also the indispensible parts in Chinese culture. As an important content middle school Chinese teaching, Classical Chinese writings have high values in teaching that never be neglected. In current classical Chinese teaching class, teachers still use the traditional explaining approach which places more emphasis on words than passages, more emphasis on teaching than comprehension, which also cares more about language competence than emotion, and care more about communicative functions of language than humanities. The approach decreases the students'interest in learning, brings bad effects of inefficient teaching and poor quality in Chinese class. Based on features of classical Chinese poetry, commands of new curriculum standard and changes of compiling Chinese Textbooks, the author proposed the unity of teaching strategies in which students could understand meanings on the basis of the whole passage, experience the passage from the overall perspectives, communicate emotions, and express even deeper chord and special experiences in the mind. And in that way, it can arouse subject's consciousness and interests of students in learning, let them take active part in language learning in order to break the barriers of Chinese Poetry learning.The paper are mainly divided into three parts: the first part is preface, It includes background, research content and related researches at home and abroad and it also lists the train of thoughts and methods, At last it introduce significance in the study. the second part is the major part, The author discusses from three aspects ,firstly , it discusses the significance and necessity of using overall plan-teaching in classical Chinese poetry .secondly, it prove the feasibility and possibility of the study in classical Chinese poetry from four aspects of theoretical foundations, features of classical poetry ,commands of new curriculum standard, changes of new textbooks, It discusses the strategies of overall teaching on classical Chinese poetry from teaching concept, teaching content, teaching procedures, and teaching evaluation. The last part of the paper is conclusion, the author make a conclusion on discussions which mentioned above and proposed some aspects that should be paid more attention to and further research areas in the future.
