As we all know,English teaching plays a great role in junior high school.Therefore,many researchers and experts have been doing researches on how to improve the efficiency of English teaching in junior high school.According to The New Curriculum Standard issued in 2011,teachers should pay more attention to motivating junior high school students' English learning initiative and promoting their language application ability.As a kind of new teaching mode,the guided learning plan focuses on improving students' autonomous learning,cultivating students to form good self-learning ability and then improving the efficiency of English teaching.Therefore,this thesis makes a study on the application of the teaching mode of guided learning plan in English teaching of junior high school on the basis of the advanced teaching ideas at home and abroad.In this thesis,the author tries to test the availability of the teaching mode of guided learning plan in English teaching of junior high school.The participants are from two classes.One class is the controlled class(CC),the other is the experimental class(EC).The lecture teaching mode is applied in CC,while the teaching mode of guided learning plan is applied in EC.Before the experiment,the questionnaire and the pre-test are designed.Through the questionnaire survey at the beginning of experiment,the author finds some problems existing in English teaching of junior high school,and then puts forward the feasibility and necessity of applying the teaching mode of guided learning plan in English teaching of junior high school.Besides,the author implements the pre-test in CC and EC,the results of the pre-test show that there is no obvious difference between CC and EC.After implementing the teaching mode of guided learning plan in EC,the post-test is done in the two classes.According to the results of pro-test,English scores of students in EC are better than those of students in CC.In addition,the questionnaire survey after the experiment shows students in EC have more positive English learning attitude than before.At the same time,their learning habits and autonomous learning ability are better than before,too.In this study,the results show that the teaching mode of guided learning plan can be beneficial for junior high school students' English learning,which not only helps them build their good English learning habits,but also promotes their autonomous learning ability.Meanwhile,this study can also help English teachers in junior high school to apply guided learning plan efficiently,and promote English teaching efficiency of junior high school.
