| The Educational technology paradigm refer to the common beliefs build by researchers in the course of education research. It also includes the application and practice under the guidance of such common belief. Due to different logical starting points as well as the cross-cutting nature in different disciplines, the research Educational technology paradigm are exemplifying the coexistence of various schools. Under the deep-rooted influence of simplicity thinking, researchers of different paradigms are mutually exclusive to each other for different views they hold. Thus, scholars in different paradigms are misunderstood by each other. This gap can be seen in the disputes over "quality-oriented" or "quantity-oriented" feature in Educational technology study. The negative consequences caused a difficult environment for its future development. At present, many researchers call for the integration of different research paradigms. However, the so called "integration" is nothing but "mixture" of both "quantity-oriented" "quality-oriented" paradigms; some of them are easy conclusion borrowed from other academic fields. Papers about basic principles and methods of the integration are rare.The author of this paper tried to research the methods of "integration" of multiple paradigms from a complexity perspective.The paper contains the following three chapters. First chapter focused on complexity and its exemplification in Educational technology study, which served as a prerequisite for later discussions. Second chapter elaborated the reasons, on the basis of simplicity, of the disputes and the existence of multi-paradigms in Educational technology study. After that, the author also offered her own point of view on the "integration". Chapter three highlighted the paper. By proposing the view that the "integration" of different paradigms should be guided by complexity thinking, the author illustrated a paradigm for complex research in Educational technology study. The paper developed the view in two aspects. One is the complexity-oriented transform in common belief among researchers. In this connection, the paper took identical features of Educational technology study as its basis, and combined the basic principles of complexity, so as to discuss the formation of complexity in researchers'way of thinking, thus to realize the goal of "seeing an object is thinking many other related topics". The other is the complex "integration" of research methods. Under the circumstance of complexity, the research approaches of Educational technology must be, apart from diversity, adjusted and integrated timely. The paper also gave the basic rules.The Educational technology study paradigm impact the comprehension and using of education researchers form both idea and methods levels. The realization of the complex transform can lift academic barriers among different paradigms researchers, so as to further arise their disciplinary approach awareness; furthermore, it can bring an academic breakthrough to Educational technology circle. |
