The thesis focuses on how the principle of consistency works in the translation of apress release and provides strategies for the translators. The case discussed in the thesis isselected from a series of press release issued by DSM and has to be translated into Chinese.The case is mainly about how DSM marked their transformation with new brand in 2010.Firstly, in the Introduction part, the case is briefly presented and the problem isdescribed.In Chapter 1, the thesis brings in the concept of press release and shows generally howthe principle of consistency works.
