Error analysis is an important part ih the area of Teaching and Learning the Second Language. For foreigners, learning measure words takes a big part in Chinese. When the foreign students learn Chinese measure words, it's inevitable for them to meet many difficulties. To realize these difficulties and make foreign students learn Chinese efficiently, this thesis fouces on the mistakes which have maken by the students in Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. This thesis uses the method of error analysis and classifies the measure words in the book,《实用医学汉语·语言篇》,which they have learnt. After having classified the words, we analyze the errors in order to find the final reasons and give advices to make the teaching and learning of Chinese measure words efficiently.In the process of language learning, it's unavoidable to make errors, which is a big trouble for the second language learners. Error analysis is good for teaching Chinese to foreign students. Through this method, teachers in the Teaching Chinese as the Second Language can realize the difficulties and the types of the errors which students have made. Then teachers can take measures to resolve the troubles and finally improve the class efficiency of teaching .This article divides into six chapters.The first part is the preface, which illustrates the purpose and significance of this research, the methodology of measure words research.The second part is to review the research of the measure words in Chinese, which divides into the thorough study, the contrast analysis research and the research in the area of Teaching Chinese as the Second Language.The third chapter analyzes the measure wors in two important books,《现代汉语词典》,《实用医学汉语·语言篇》,and then gives some personal advices. The next chapter is the focal point of this paper. The author analyzes the cultural background of the studends in MBBS2009, and then finds the error types.The fifth chapter is the advices which focus on the students who have the different first languages.The last part is the conclusion. In thise chapter, the author points the dificiencies and innovations of this paper.
